1. Buyer has three (3) business days from taking possession of their cat/kitten to take the kitten/cat to a licensed veterinarian at their own expense. If the cat/kitten is found to have an uncommon and untreatable health condition, Seller agrees to replace the cat/kitten with one of equal value when available, but only with a proper veterinarian report. NO cash refunds.

New owners are advised to discuss vaccination options with their own veterinarian, but agrees that all health guarantees are null and void if this cat is given a FeLV, FIP or ANY live virus vaccine during the 3-day grace period as those tests sometimes give false positives.

IMPORTANT: We strongly advise AGAINST EVER having the FIP vaccine being given to your kitten. It is a controversial vaccine that has been reported to in some cases to have actually given this incurable disease to the cat/kitten given the vaccine. No vet should give this vaccine to your cat/kitten without making you aware of the risk and obtaining your consent.

Your kitten is coming to you from a PKD, FeLV, FIV negative breeder.

2. After Buyer’s vet exam, if the kitten/cat is given a clean bill of health, Seller is no longer responsible for any health condition that might arise, as any kitten can come into contact in a number of ways with both health and environmental conditions that might compromise its health after it has left Lapeyrouse’s Cattery.

3. If during Buyer’s vet exam a problem is found with the kitten’s/cat’s health, Buyer must consult Seller PRIOR to any treatment. In some cases Seller may take charge of healthcare, taking the kitten/cat to Seller’s vet for treatment and will assume responsibility for the cost. Seller will NOT pay for any unauthorized treatments by Buyer’s vet.

4. If Buyer fails to have the kitten/cat examined by their vet within the three (3) business-day grace period, this health guarantee is null and void.

5. If death of this kitten/cat should occur due to a genetic defect within two (2) years of purchase, purchaser must show a death certificate from a licensed veterinarian listing the exact cause of death. In the event of such a death, seller will replace kitten/cat with a comparable one, upon availability, at no additional charge to Buyer.
